Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2

Set to the backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' continues the team's adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill's true parentage.

Release Date: Out Now (UK) / May 5th (US)

This film left me somewhat confused at the end. Was it great? Was it bad? You know, I think it was just so much different from what we saw in the first film that you are left a little confused. This film I would say is really good - not quite to the extent of the first film no, but it was dealing with a whole different issue for this group of rejects that just don't quite have a place to fully call home.

Released in time for the UK's May Day weekend it is sure to bring in people to the theatre, and rightly so. The story blends complex issues related to family and who and what you mean to the people around you while, typically, saving the whole Galaxy... again. It brings some characters to the fore, Rocket and Drax have a bigger role whereas it felt like Gamora has to take a back seat along with Nebula for the most part. Drax in my opinion has the best funny scene in the whole film while the most dramatic will be with Yondu and Peter.

There are plenty easter eggs throughout the film and I'm sure it will take at least another viewing to get even half of them, with some favourites from films gone by making cameos. I am left pondering if the Guardians will have a small part in Thor: Ragnarok as there is simply nothing linking them to the Avengers as yet and they do like to save the Galaxy so I imagine Asgard could do with some help.

So go out and watch the film, it is a good watch that leaves you happy and sad at the same time. If you have seen the film, what was your favourite part?
