So, we have all read the adorable JockxNerd/Goth/Outcast stories, and this one is no different, but the character building and background is. Cambria has built a solid foundation in #Nerd where her characters have the ability to grow and the complexity to be both, realistic and relate-able.
Rimmel is a bit of a recluse, she shies away from humans, and is attending scholarship and will keep it at any cost, even tutoring a popular human. She isn't particularly spectacular, infact she is a klutz who cannot take the attention that falling over brings her. You know, Rimmel isn't much different from any other female protagonist in these stories, but she does grow on you as her story is revealed and she adapts.
Roman, or Romeo as he is known on campus, is the "Jock" and playboy on campus, but he is failing and in danger of failing as was assigned a tutor. He is also receiving tasks to join a fraternity, so what will Roman do when one of those tasks involve Rimmel, who, has stolen his heart.
So what makes this book one to read? Simply, it's predictability is that of which we as readers love. It's a feel good read where we root for the pairing. There are a couple little twists that add to the story and build on it, headed towards a second book. Cambria's writing is engaging and fun, with an easy to read style which will ensure that you will be kept reading for the whole book. Seriously, it sucked me in for a happy day of reading.
